The Ministry of Motherhood (MOM) was excited to be working in the Twin Oaks Café throughout the month of October. Serving up your coffee, breakfast tacos, and donuts, the women of MOM raised money to support the various outreach projects we engage in throughout the year.

MOM is a ministry which provides fellowship, support, and service for mothers of young children.  In addition to our weekly meetings, the missions team encourages moms to serve others in our community.  This summer, we donated over $400 in school supplies benefiting A World For Children, which supports children placed in foster homes.  This fall we have provided 20 health kits to UMCOR, participated in Race For the Cure to help fight breast cancer, and we will be adopting a family with Round Rock Serving Center in December.  In the spring, we will continue to seek ways to meet the needs of those around us.  In January, we will conduct a food drive to help restock the food pantry at Round Rock Serving Center.  Jesus calls us to care for the widows and orphans.  In February, we will be bringing our children to a local assisted living facility for a Valentine’s Day Party to bring some smiles to the residents.  The rest of the spring includes serving a meal for the families at Ronald McDonald House and hosting a “baby shower” benefiting Agape Pregnancy Resource Center.

In addition to providing support for some of the needs of our mission projects, the money raised in the Twin Oaks Café during the month of October will be donated to various ministries within the church, as well as to one of our families fighting juvenile cancer.  So when you bought your snacks and drinks this past month, you helped MOM make an impact in the name of Jesus.  Thank you for all of your donations that support our missions!
